Her first Photo Shoot!!! It wasn't a good day for Scotlyn - emotionally she was a little fussy - but as you can see, Ms. Shannon did a great job!

Scotlyn's 1st Easter
We went to see the Easter Bunny (early at the Club-we had the first "setting" to beat all the snotty kids before they contaminated the Easter Bunny!) We went to church (just ran in, took our seats and got out fast at the end of the service, so not to have any hands on me) We got an Easter basket from Nana & Papa, Poppy and Ma (with a big stuffed bunny and a pink patend leather purse!) and Aunti Boo, Uncle Kyle & Adler!

She is now 9 days old and so precious! Sleeping a night only waking once to eat! We went to the Dr. today for her 1st visit and she now weight 6lbs 13oz (her Daddy says she eats like he does!) Dr. Hudson said she is perfect and we have a sweet little girl (tell us something we don't know!.... HA)
We have no idea what we did without her! we cannot get enough kisses!!! I call her cheeks "sugar bowls" and I try to empty them by stealing "sugar" but they simply cannot be emptied (yet I won't stop trying!)

3/10/08 And then there were three...

Monday, March 10th at 7:53 a.m., God blessed Jon Phillip and I with a healthy precious bundle of joy and we named her Scotlyn Elizabeth Kemp. She weighs 6 lbs 1oz and is 20 inches long (they said we should remeasure her after her little cone-head goes down). Scotlyn came out wide eyed and very alert and hardly cried at all. Mommy, Daddy and baby Kemp are doing great and are expected to go home Wednesday, March 12th.

3/10/08 for the LOVE of anesthesia...

let me just say, when you start labor at home from a dead sleep at 12:27 a.m., get to the hosptial -while yelling for your husband to drive faster than 4 mph over the speed limit- at 2:25 a.m. and when you tell a triage nurse it's your first, labor started 2 hours ago and you are about to have it and they just look at you and smile and say 'ok, -'smirk'- I'll check you -'smirk'-' and the next thing she does is stick her head out the door yelling 'get me a room, a dr., and anesthesia - she's a 7-8!', they wheel me down to labor and delivery, tell me I am now, 4-6 minutes later, 9 1/2 cm dialated, I'm begging for an epidural - the nurse grabs me and says ' AMY - if you can promise to sit still we can still do this!' let me tell you JOYCE, the anesthesiologist (who tried 5 times before it got in the right place) was my best friend almost immediately! anyway relaxed and slowed a little, (only to wait so her grandparents to get there of course, we pushed for 53 minutes and our little princess came out sunny side (face) up. (another main reason they said I slowed down so much)
