Jan. 10th, 2011 -SNOW! Needless to say... we are very pleased with our SnowWOman! Scotlyns 1st time to actually get out and play in the snow! (Whitley Jo is asleep!) The first thing she wanted to do was "make a snow angel like Little Bear and then make a snowman!" then as i was lifting the "body" (not sure I should have done that much less twice in my current condition) onto the "bottom" of the snowman she asked "momma, do all snowmen have to be boys?" Needless to say, I ran into the dress up trunk and we pinked out "Frostette" but Scotlyn said her name is "Chloe!"

December 10th, 2008 1st steps!
Merry Christmas - 9 months - we put Scotlyn infront of the Christmas tree this morning to take her picture for our Christmas cards. We "dangled" a cookie infront of her to get her to stay standing and she took 3 steps to get to us... (and the cookie) and then starting clapping.... vwah lah... our Christmas card! Hope you got yours!

11/16/2008-Library Sneak Peak! Gallatin's New Library had a preview party today and we went to see the new library and find the brick we purchased in Scotlyn's honor before she was born! We found the brick and she loved the library (the stuffed animals a little more than the books!) There were beautiful flowers everywhere including the "grand opening" arrangement seen here that was all fresh! we look forward to enjoying the new Gallatin Library for years to come! http://www.gallatinlibrary.org/

A Ruby Visit - Our friends, the Paynes, have a basset hound, Ruby, who used to come visit Jon Phillip and Amy on a regular basis. Since Scotlyn arrived, Ruby's visits have all but ceased and we've only seen Ruby about 4 times since March. She showed up this morning and Scotlyn LOVES her! Here you can see Scotlyn greeting Ruby while mommy went to get a treat for the puppy.

11/1/2008 - Granna's Birthday! Today was Marsha's 60th Birthday. We surprised her by meeting her and her friends for a dinner at the club. It was a fun night with friends and family. Dollie and Jim, Stites Ray and Nancy and Peggy and John were all in on the surprise and there to celebrate with us. Scotlyn, of course, loved the party!

Zoo - Sat 10/18/2008 We took Scotlyn to the Zoo on Saturday! She loved anything she could see move! (the other children there were a main attraction to her) The little black goat in the petting zoo and the black monkey were two of her favorites! (i think she thought they were her favorite dog-Adler!) She was amazed by the giraffes, just like her mommy, with their graceful movements and the little meerkat that just stood and looked at her while she sat in her stroller and stared at it was very intriguing! It was a fun afternoon and we will go back!
