2/8/08 Her room is ready!
after much love and work was put into it, our little girl's room is ready and awaiting her arrival! My mom, Paula, made the bedding (see how happy she looks sewing for her 1st grandaughter in the picture) and Margaret Elliott (a very talented artist... and my brother, Kyle's girlfriend of 2.5 years... c'mon Kyle, what are you waiting for?), painted the mural. Aunt Melissa had held onto to the rocking chair she used in Cousin Alex and Luke's rooms when they were babies so we were able to use that too.

12/25/07 Christmas in Carthage
We spent this Christmas in Carthage, TN with Jon Phillips side of the family. He and his cousins suprised their Granny, Ms. Elizabeth, by being in her pew and surrounding pews when she arrived from Sunday School to take her usual seat in the sanctuary. Needless to say, she was very suprised and not too many dry eyes were around.
We are so looking forward to the birth of our first child and so are the grandparents! The gifts were definitely geared towards the little on expected in March and the conversations were focused on my growing abdomen! Every once in a while, there was mention of the ever apparent eczema that had now taken over my hands.

2/21/2007 A place to call home... for the pump trucks

As expected, Jon's company, Concrete Pump Partners has taken off and we are growing! We have now located a home for the trucks and have started some improvements on the land we

will grow on. Jon's Dad, Phil, and his uncle, Frances, have come to volunteer their "plumbing" and other skills to help the property in working order. We have added a fence around the property and plan to add an office trailer soon! We have just taken delivery on our 3rd pump truck and will be getting our first line trailer pump very soon! Go, Jon, Go!

07/27/06 Concrete Pump Partners... the beginning

Jon Phillip, after much dreaming, researching and planning, has started his own company and today is the first pump job. The business is called Concrete Pump Partners. We are a locally owned and operated Concrete Placement company and we own/operate 2 brand new 2007 Schwing pump trucks. Jon has done so much to get this going, I know it will be a success! Congratulations Jon! I love you! I know this will be great!
